Weight Loss Motivator

When we are on a weight loss mission or a get healthy and fit mission then there is one thing that can be harder than the actual losing of weight or the getting healthy and fit plan itself. The motivation to lose weight or get fit and healthy can be hard to keep.

When we first decide to do something whether it is lose weight or learn something new that takes time through training, we are normally full of enthusiasm and very motivated to get on with what we are about to take on, but we can lose that motivation over time, especially if we are finding it hard to get results.

If you decided you wanted to change the shape of your body through exercise and diet, lose the fat around your belly, slim down those thighs and get rid of the excess flab around the top of the arms and simply replace it with tight toned muscle then you will probably put a huge amount of effort into achieve this, you are determined, you may have put some sort of time frame on your body sculpting efforts, but above all you are going to make it happen. You are going to have the body you want ready for your next beach vacation.

It is easy to lose that enthusiasm and determination as you proceed on your body sculpting quest, as time goes by you start to waiver on your efforts and this can be worse when you don’t seem to be getting much of a result for your efforts. It is so difficult to motivate yourself to get down that gym and workout or get up early on a cold morning to go running.

So a key point to any weight loss or get fit program is to manage  to keep yourself motivated, getting our bodies to the right healthy weight that we desire can take a while to achieve, it does  not happen overnight, eating healthy, doing exercise should becomes our lifestyle, but it is easy to stray from this path and back into our over indulgent ways that only add fat to our frame.

There are many things we can do to try and keep us motivated and different methods work for different people. Writing down our weight and fitness goals and putting them on the wall in a prominent place so we can read them everyday is a good way to strengthen our desire to work towards them. Pictures are also a great way of keeping us motivated, before and after pictures, or a picture of our self when we were the weight we enjoyed and would like to get back to alongside the as is picture of our self that we want to change.

Working with a friend or family member that also wants to lose weight, get fit and healthy is also a good way as you can keep each other motivated, when one does not feel like going to the gym, the other pushes them to go, also you may push yourself to go because you do not want to let the other down.

By far one of the most effective motivators I have always found works for me is reading, words are very great motivators. The story of someone elses success can spur us on to achieve the same results in any task that we choose to take on. There are some great books that cover all sorts of topics, so below I have hand picked a few that may help those readers among us to keep motivated on their quest to a healthy trim body.
