Lets talk about honey and why it could be a good part of any ones diet. Is honey a kind of wonder food, well you could say that, well I do any way. Honey is one of those foods that you either like it or you don’t, a bit like Marmite, may be not as extreme as Marmite in respect of it distinctive taste. Honey is sweet and can be slipped into a diet quite easily.
It is a great natural product that is good for our health. I include it in my diet everyday and although I found it very sweet at first have grown to love it and now eat it straight from the jar every night before I retire. There is said to be a benefit to slimming in this golden sticky goodness.
The golden stuff is great for coughs and sore throats soothing any tickles and soreness, this is probably why there is honey in a lot of cough medicines and cough sweets. As a little tip if you have a cough and it is bugging you during the night and even keeping you from getting a good night sleep, then have a spoonful of honey before retiring and you will find that it stops the coughing. Honey contains anti-oxidents and anti-bacterial qualities and helps to keep our immune systems strong to fight off any bad germs or infections. It is also good for our digestive system.
As I mentioned earlier, there has been some research done that says it can help with weight loss and this has something to do with our biology. There is such a thing called the hibernation diet and this with a little help from our friend honey uses the bodies own recovery system to Burn Fat and it involves taking a little honey before we go to bed of a night which fuels the liver and lets our bodies activate hormones that in turn will and get this, burn fat while we are sleeping. I may go into this in another post soon, but it is easy enough to research online, just type hibernation diet and search, there will be plenty of information pop up.
If you are not keen on the taste of honey then there are several places in your daily diet where you can slip this nutritious delight in. Try it first to replace sugar in some parts of your diet, a little on a breakfast cereal or porridge, in tea or coffee instead of sugar, on a fruit salad and its great on toast, but if you are hardcore then just go straight for the jar.
Could it really help with your weight loss, well give it a try and find out and even if it does not then it is still a great natural product that is Good for the Health.
