What is the biggest thing to go alongside a Diet ? Torment; Yes what do most people do to themselves when they decide that they need to lose weight, they throw themselves into a Diet. Most of the time it is a Diet that they have no chance of succeeding with, mainly because it is an unrealistic diet. People torment themselves with a diet that deprives them completely of the things they like and they consume every kind of food they hate. How will that ever work, we may be able to sustain it for a week or so, may be even a month at best. We will not keep it up long term.
So what is going to happen, well the things we have deprived ourselves of are going to taste even better and be even more appealing. We have missed the wonderful tasting and satisfying foods, we want them and we over indulge in them. Before we know it the diet that we embarked on is a thing of the past ( that nasty diet, give me the food I love and plenty of it ) and we are back eating the food we were before.
We are now back to our old ways of eating, so any weight we may have lost whilst partaking in a diet will return to our deprived body. We do it with little promises to our self to begin with like ‘This take out is lovely, it’s a bit naughty but I will get back on track on Monday‘ Monday arrives and we will half heartily try to get back to our tormenting diet, we never really succeed.
Another week on and it has all gone ‘belly up’ literally.
We will then carry on over indulging until next time we decide that we need to lose some weight and the Dieting torment starts all over again. We need to break this cycle and be realistic.
