Diet Success

Is there a way that we can successfully diet, a way we can lose weight without having to starve ourselves and deprive ourselves of the foods we like and the treats we enjoy so much. Of course there is

But first, lets have a look at why most diets don’t really work. If we start a diet that involves us giving up chocolate or candy and all of our favorite foods, our bodies are just going to crave them all the more and all this will do is make us irritable and miserable, it makes it to hard for us to continue on the diet long term. Why would we want to continue with a diet that deprived us of all the things we like.

Now if all our diet consisted of was fast food or processed food and lots of chocolate and candy all washed down with fizzy drinks then we are not really consuming a very healthy diet and our bodies are not getting the nutrition they need. On a diet like this we are going to gradually put on weight over time.

If we suddenly change this diet and start semi starving ourselves we are just going to crave these foods all the more and we will end up irritable and miserable. To try and lose weight in this way will never work, all that will happen is that we Will lose a bit of weight, go back to our old eating habits and then put the weight back on. To lose weight effectively there is only one way to diet.

The reason people diet the way as explained above is because they want instant results, forget it.

If you want to lose weight and keep that weight off then don’t starve yourself for one thing and don’t give up all the things you like and most important of all don’t expect to lose weight over night, it will take a while to get back the body you are dreaming of.

Fast food and processed food do need to go, they will be OK to have occasionally once you are into your new way of eating. We need to bring in fresh cooked food, so don’t buy ready prepared processed food instead buy fresh ingredients and prepare and cook yourself. This might seem a bit of a task at first but once you get used to it you will do it without thinking about it and before you know it you will be experimenting with new ways of cooking food. Include plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit in your new healthy diet.

Don’t cut out your treats all together, just cut down on them. If you love chocolate there is no need to cut it out of your life, you will only crave it and that will be a threat to your healthy diet. Instead if you do consume a lot then gradually cut down until you are just having one a day. This is easier to do than trying to cut it out all together, you will look forward to the time of day when you can have that little bit of chocolate, instead of knowing you can’t have any at all and then caving in under the pressure.
