Chemical Foods

Do we really know what we are putting into our bodies, when we buy the food and drinks that we eat throughout the year. What are these chemical foods and could it be some of the additives in these foods that are causing us to put on weight and slow down our metabolism. It seems to me that there are far to many ingredients that we do not recognize and would not add to our own cooking.

You could cook a meal from scratch with fresh ingredients, but if you wanted you could buy the same meal as a ready made product, all you would need to do is pop it in the oven and it would save on buying all the ingredients, preparing them and then cooking. It is easy and convenient, but just look at the ingredients of that ready made meal and see if you would be adding all of those ingredients to your fresh meal, probably not. There are probably several ingredients that you not only would not add, but you would not know where to come by them and they would not be needed.

These ingredients in my opinion are part of why people put on weight, it is the same with soda, which has a lot of sugar, even the diet soda with its artificial sweeteners can make us put on weight. Do we really want to be putting artificial ingredients into our bodies, it is said that these artificial sweeteners slow down the metabolism and that can mean weight gain. So the diet version may be a lie.

I have in the past been guilty of eating processed foods, quite a lot of it, after all it is easy when you have done a hard days work, the last thing you want to do is prepare a meal from scratch. But I decided to create my own experiment. I decided to eat only fresh food for a three month period and see if my weight changed. I prepared all my meals from scratch,there was still a few things in there that were processed, but on the whole it was all fresh.

After a month I had lost around 9 pounds in weight and at the end of the three month period around 20 pounds, which is amazing, so are these artificial ingredients that they put in processed foods one of the reasons behind weight gain. I am no expert on these artificial ingredients, but it is worth thinking about and it is worth doing your own experiment if you want to lose weight.

Instead of going for the light or diet options of food, instead go for the fresh option and see if you get similar results to me. It is not a fad it is not a program, it is a simple experiment that anyone can try, it is up to you, it will only cost you the extra time of preparing your meals as opposed to just opening the packaging and putting it in the oven.

    Forget the patches. I tried them and they don’t work. Just take one day at a time. Don’t look beynod one day. Start by eating no sugar, and carbs that aren’t good for you. White flour is bad. To maintain your weight This is the best advice you will ever receive and that is to eat smaller portions. You don’t have to diet if you do this. The hardest part with all of this is getting started. Just get through that first day. Just take one day at a time. It works.

    I am not dure what the patches are about as this is not entioned in the post, but I do agree with your other advice, especially the smaller portions. Todays portion size is far to large.
